Virtual Tax Office

At Grapeson M. Wilson, CPA, LLC, we know that time is money, which is why we aim to save you as much time as possible when tax season rolls around. Our tax process is simple and allows you to prepare and file your taxes from the comfort of your home or office. During our initial meeting, we review your information and verify your identity. After that, all you need is a computer and scanner to complete the process. No more waiting in line, scheduling appointments, navigating traffic, or taking time away from work or family to prepare and file your taxes. Just follow the simple steps below and your taxes will be completed and off of your list of things to do:

Step 1 – Electronically sign our retainer agreement, engagement letter, and pre-pay the estimated fee for the services. Our primary goal is to assist you in filing accurate tax returns. We always keep the best interest of our clients at the forefront and work toward getting the maximum refund legally allowed. Typically, we try to brainstorm a couple of scenarios within the legal framework based on the information provided by you and work accordingly.

Step 2 – During tax time you will provide us with all the required documents via our secure electronic delivery system – login here – (you can mail copies of all the original documents as a packet to our Missouri City office via UPS, USPS, FedEx if required). We will request additional materials and information if needed via email.

Step 3 – Once the first two steps are complete, the first draft of the tax return(s) will be sent to you within fifteen business days.

Step 4 – You will verify all of the information on draft one is correct and review it for accuracy.

Step 5 – A telephone/ video/ virtual meeting can be scheduled at this time if need be to discuss draft one and revise as needed.

Step 6 – If your tax return warrants an extension, we will electronically submit the request for an extension after all of the required documents for e-file authorization are e-signed.

Step 7 – If any information is missing or needs correction, we will update and send you new drafts of the tax return(s).

Step 8 – You choose either direct deposit or direct pay and provide bank account info for auto pay or you can follow the manual payment methods.

Step 9 – Once the return is ready for submission, you e-sign the e-file authorization, and we file the return.

Step 10 – During the process, you will receive status updates via email. Other than that, you can rest easy and have peace of mind.
